Binding Posts on SONAB OA5 mk2

Hi
I would like to add binding posts to the back but hopefully next to the original DIN connector, to avoid drilling the actual cabinet. To do this I need to remove the wooden plinth at the bottom.
Is this glued as well as stapled?
