I suspect that it isn't the Carlsson Sonab tweeter unless Hifikit in Sweden are pulling the wool over everyones eyes? Someone at Carlsson Planet must know the thruth? I want to order a new set of drivers - but I'm gonna hold of for now.

I just got word by email yesterday that my replacement woofers and tweeters are on their way from Madisound. 
I will be able to confirm within a week whether they are the replacement models. Terry at Madisound special ordered the woofers for me from Peerless in Denmark at the $43 dollar amount.

Mitch, are you paying US $43 for the Peerless woofer ?!
This is about 290 Skr that is below half the price we pay in Sweden for this woofer...... !!!!!
It is tempting to place an order in the US for them.
Can you provide me(us) with the contact information to Madisound ?!!

Detta innebär alltså att hifikit köper SC165 för en bra bit under 200kr.
Det är tur att det finns många att köpa från.

Madisound has an internet site - http://www.madisound.com. The person I exchanged emails with is Terry. His email is [email protected].
I don't want to give anyone wrong information so you might want to wait till the end of next week when I get my order and can confirm that these really are the SC 165s.
I told Terry I didn't want any substitutions and sent him a link to the peerless catalog page with the actual replacement. He said he had ordered some for another person as well and seemed to know what I was talking about regarding the special order.
I'll find out soon.

I hope I didn't do anything to anger you - I can't read your post so don't know. If you think I'm probably not getting the right woofers because of a big price difference I'd like to know. I've had a hard time figuring out how to order them from overseas and Madisound was the only lead I had.

That was just a little expression over what happens with prices here in Sweden
due to lack of competition.I`m sure You will be getting the right speakers.

As soon as my new woofers arrive I'll confirm they are the right ones and post here so others know whether Madisound is a good source for replacements in the US.

Hi,
I received my 831881 Peerless drivers from Madisound today. They are marked with a line that reads "Z 4" followed by an upside down U. Does this indicate a 4 ohm driver? I sincerely hope not...

unfortunatly it seems You have received 4ohm speakers.that is very odd as they
shouldn´t exist in 4ohm.can You measure the resistance to be sure.is it a cone of
paper with rubber surrounds?
if Your resistance value is just below 4ohm You must make a claim.

I have nothing to measure with. I've sent an email to Madisound and we'll see what happens. It does appear to be a paper driver with a rubber surround.
