Thank you kind sir.Plymotonic @ Mon Dec 13, 2004 3:34 am wrote:Greetings Bob!
I’ve just undertaken the enterprise of restoring a pair of OA-14 to .3 version.
This includes replacing the original woofers with Peerless B65-oa 8 Ohm and the original tweeters with Peerless CT62 8 Ohm, as well as positioning them in Y-configuration.
SSC ( The Stig Carlsson Trust) has developed a modification of the cross over in order to address a problem with the CT62. The CT62 has a moderate lift around 5 kHz and in order to attenuate this, some components has to be exchanged in the cross over. The description of the cross over modification can be ordered from SSC for approximately USD 19.
SSC has also developed a new positioning of the tweeters in order to take care of a comb filter effect that is caused by the equidistant grid pattern positioning of the original tweeters. The description of the Y-configuration of the tweeters can be ordered from SSC for approximately USD 23.
I suggest that you send an email to CarlssonPlanet. I’m confident that they will assist you in ordering the documents, with relevant parts translated, from SSC.
Best regards

I guess with the install of my new peerless mid bass I sill have a nice pair of OA-14 .1's?? I'm using a pair of these http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl ... er=290-305 as my current mid bass, until the Peerless arrives on the boat in another 6 weeks or so. They are working out fairly well. I wanted something inexpensive so I could listen in the interim. They dont go very low, so I am using a subwoofer to augment.
Happy Holidays!!
