Hi

I am very glad I found this forum for sonabs

case is
I was given today a pair of sonab oa12
they seem to be in a very nice condition
have no din cable to test them, I'll get one asap ...

the woofers seem to have been refoamed, and they move nice and freely ..
they were (tweeters too) very dusty and I just finished a gentle cleaning ..

they look like this at the moment (see att) ..

if they work as they should do you think it better to keep them all original or upgrade the drivers / crossover parts / internal wiring etc etc?

Hi

I think the best answer to that is to first see to that they are in working order.
After that you can decide for yourself if you want to upgrade the speaker or not.

More modern drivers developed specially for Carlsson/Sonab-speakers can be found at Hifikit in Sweden.

Search for "Carlsson" and you'll find drivers and filter-Components etc.
