Yes, I thought the same thing that it would be a good idea to use a original power supply but have to now consider and ponder about what to do exactly.
Superior advice should be if someone could do a schema for suggestion. Then I could just solder and that´s it and see how that could work.

Bu the way when looking at grafpro´s grafs I´m not too surprised why the original design can break up so easily, can I say, insane amplification at 30 Hz!
Although very interesting ideas from you and learn all the time something new when reading you electronicgurus (I mean that positive) messages.

Because I´m no too clever that I could myself design an additional amp to my OA-6 2a, I need more advices what to do. Or I going to have OA-6 with OA-4 or V-1:s bass response...

I think you should choose an IC amp so you can use the existing 2x35V powersupply.

Why not use the same filter design including the positive current feedback?

Bunch of idiots ! All the 30 - 40 year old electronics need service. 1st. change all the electrolytic capacitors and dont(!) ever before that turn power on !!! Otherwise power transistors would be dead ones ! Power transformer too. And dont ever use somekind of cheap old(!) electrolytics left for tens of years to the shelf. I use only 1st. class components and anyone are checked and reformed !!! Never burned any voicecoil ! Bad elkos burn voicecoils and transistors too. Voicecoils dont like any DC ! Only AC ! Keep simple things simple and no problems. Keep also old Hifi equipment original condition - no any idiot tuning "..can I use that speaker element for that hole.." !

Do you know that the "Energizer SHOULD HAVE some DC output? ("Voicecoils dont like any DC")

This topic is a bit old and my experience about electronics has improved a lot due to my studies and such...

However, the Elna 2200 uF capacitors are quality ones and I have had any problems with these even that they are 40 years old. The principle of the bass-energizer can be read at the service manual. It´s not an ordinary desing at all.
