Please help Larson hexagon??

Post by BoringSounds »

Hello, sorry for writing this post in English my Swedish is not to hot.

I have just inherited a Tandberg stereo with a pair of Larson speakers.
They are in good working condition.

I have looked all the way through your great archive here http://www.carlssonplanet.com/speakers.php?lang=sv& and could not find them.

Does anybody know what model these are?
Are these even the same Larson?
Are these worth cleaning up and restoring?
Any help gratefully received...

My wife can only take so much old hi-fi in the house, so need to make a decision on whether to keep them or pass them on..

Thanks in advance,

Thanks Russ, that seems to be them..
Now the next question are they worth cleaning up?...
I have gently removed the panels/grilles and the speakers seem fine no breaking down of the surrounds etc..
Would be interested in knowing what to do with them?
Is there much interest in these models??
They sound fine, but do not know if I can get away with another pair of speakers in the house, I already have 6 pairs..

Hi again!

They seem to be in a very good shape.

Very nice veneer and form!

Yes, they are worth saving and take care of.

It´s a bit of hifi history.

I don´t think there are so many left nowdays.
It´s the first time I have seen them.

But I am not an expert, only an amateur.

Hi BoringSounds.
I agree that they are worth saving. The reason you don't find them on this site is Carlssonplanet.com and Larsonspeakers. It's not the same brand.

So these have nothing to do with the manufacturer Carlsson.
Sorry that I post on this forum, I was not aware...
So they where made by Bengt Larson model L 360 A.

Good to know, now to find them a good home....
If you know anybody that would like to give them a good home, do let me know, if not they will be going on fleabay, my wife has spoken and they must go.. (along with 3 other pairs of speakers..)

Thanks to the both of you Russ & STDI!

Hi,
There is no need to be sorry.

You posted your comments under the headline Other.

No,
Larson L 360 A L is not a Carlsson speaker, but the modell is inspired of the Carlsson way to construct speakers in order to sound ortho acoustic.

Have a nice day!

Best Regards,
Russ.
