OD 11 with SC 165 MkI Cone Diameter?
OD 11 with SC 165 MkI Cone Diameter?
I have what I believe is a SC 165 MkI driver that came from an OD 11. I am having trouble finding a foam surround for it. The driver has a cone diameter of 10.7 CM.
Can anyone confirm that this is an SC 165 MkI and can tell me where I might find a surround that fits?
Thanks!

Yes, this is the Mark 1
You can find a surround here: http://www.speakerworks.com/6_1_2_inch_ ... /swk65.htm

But it doesn't have a Sonab dust cap. So something is strange.

Is there a picture of the dustcap? In that case - where?
Re: OD 11 with SC 165 MkI Cone Diameter?
There are four pictures. First picture is from "top", that is cone and dust cup. Can't you see four pictures?

I checked some of my old mk1s and mk2s. The cone is about 12 cm. I don't think yours are SC165.

Re: OD 11 with SC 165 MkI Cone Diameter?
Thanks for the information. The large dust cap looked odd to me. I wonder what these are then?
If this is not original then maybe they were changed out with the tweeters because they are the Matushita ones.
It being an AlNiCo driver was confusung/interesting because usually a replacement driver is a newer ceramic one.
Another odd thing was that the crossovers had the polarized caps in mounted different directions. That is the positive and negative ends were reversed in one of them.
I'm not sure if that makes any difference but I found it unusual to have polarized caps at all. I have seen those before in old co-axials but never in different polarities.
Though the caps test fine in both directions.
Everything looked original inside with the crossover etc. Not like someone had modified it.
If anyone happens to know what driver this is I'd appreciate the info. I'll go ahead and re-foam them if I can find a surround for it and see what they sound like.
Thanks for helping me clear up my confusion!

OK. Now I get it. I misread the first picture. Looks like the cone isn´t original (has the wrong colour and is to small). The chassi looks original though. Strange!
