Just finished restoration of OA 12 with Obi tweeters and a new crossover. There's additional 4,7 uF parallel cap suggested for the woofer's original 10 uF cap. What's the benefit of this?
For tweeter level adjustment I have two 3,3, ohm resistors between the jumper points. What db levels this equals?
The crossover is here:

OA 12 woofer cap and crossover question
Re: OA 12 woofer cap and crossover question
You find perhaps some answers here:

Look at the diagrams.
The tone curve and the distortion at 1khz can be reduced a bit with additional 4,7uF cap for the woofer.

Re: OA 12 woofer cap and crossover question
Ok, thanks for your answer, I might try this extra cap. I counted what two 3,3, ohm resistors mean when moving the jumper feeding tweeters: 0 db, +2,5 db and +5 db.
