I think these are the ones that carlssonplanet recommend. I'm sure you can find something similar.

I used these from Dayton Audio http://www.daytonaudio.com/index.php/lo ... -gold.html on my OA-116s, and I'm very happy with them. I'll post photos later. They have long enough studs to go through the 25mm bottom plate, can be used with banana plugs, and have 2 places to solder to on the inside. If you want to switch to binding posts.

Two options.
1.Clean up the originals XLR-connectors.
They work as well as other types of connectors.
No difference at all. :D

2.Buy new XLR-connectors.

I can do either, that is, use the existing xlr 4 pin connectors or change to new posts with banana plug option. However I still have a question about the four wires that run to the speaker xlr connector. I will probably have to custom make xlr speaker cables, and it will need to terminate in two wires. So do I short the two "-" and two "+" in order to arrive at 2 wires at the amplifier? Similarly, to install new binding posts I would have to solder two wires to one post, and the same to the second post. Is that correct?

The picture shows the speaker cable female XLR (not male as I first wrote in my answer yesterday). Pin 1 and 2 (they are numbered in the XLR-contact) are shorted and goes to amplifiers minus. Pin 3 and 4 are shorted and goes to amplifiers plus. So it's easy to make a new cable if you buy two 4-pin XLR female contacts.

Inside the speaker the XLR pins are all separated but if you want to use new speaker terminals you short pin 1 and 2 wires to the minus terminal and pin 3 and 4 wires to plus terminal.

Yeas.that`s the trick. 8-)

Transforme 4 wires into 2.

Connect left speaker with 2 wires(1 plus and 1 minus) to left speaker connections on the amplifier 1 marked plus(red) and 1 marked minus(black).

Connect right speaker with 2 wires(1 plus and 1 minus) to right speaker connections on the amplifier 1 marked plus(red) and 1 minus(black).

Many, many thanks. I will make custom audio cables first before I decide to change the xlr to new posts on the speaker itself. And I still cannot get to the pdf for the website. It takes me to a page that says the website is offline. ??? Anyway, I have what I need and thank you all.
