Recommendations for refinishing
I have stripped, repaired, and sanded the cabinets for my walnut veneer OA-116s. My choices for finishing would be lacquer like the originals or a penetrating oil - perhaps Daly's Profin, which is an oil-modified urethane containing 30% solids. With lacquer I feel like I need spray equipment and a dust free environment (i.e. spray booth) to be assured of good results. Profin goes on multiple coats, hand-rubbed, and building up more or less sheen depending on the number of coats. Anybody have any experience doing one or the other - or any other suggestions?
