Hi Peter,

Feel free to email me. I'm glad the centre channel worked well. The OD 11's have been working well in my system. I too have been looking at the 40 cs but i would have to adapt the design to scanspeak to match my Carlssons.

regards Geoff

Hi Peter I live in Melbourne. I picked up my first pair of Carlssons from Penny Lane Audio here in Melbourne about 20 years ago. They were OA 51s paired with a Hafler Amp and PreAmp with a Rega Turntable. Unbelievable Sound. I dont remember much else of the 1980's but i remember that afternoon. It l...

Thanks Stefan Its looks amazing. I am very impressed. Your design looks extremely appropriate and tonally everything would balance seemlessly. In fact i like your design so much I started to think about building one myself. I looked at the OA 40CS and it loked quite good but your design uses the sca...

Centre Channel Speaker ?

Hi I have been puzzling over a centre channel. At the moment I am using two OD 11 wired together with OA 51s for left and right and OA 12s for the rears. I have been using an Australian speaker but i found it had a bit too much bass which was fine for dialogue but not so good for music. I wanted an ...

Thanks
the Photo explained everything. Does anyone know why there is this difference between the OA 51 and OA 52. The components are almost identical. This seems a design departure.

Hi Fredrik, Thanks that helps a lot. I assumed that the OA 52s would be similar to the OA 51s. Can I ask you is there any sealant or rubber to dampen the driver on the baffle. Its strange because even the OD 11 and OA 12s seem to attach properly with rubber and clamps etc ..... it just seems strange...

OA-52

Hi I am about to undertake the restoration of a OA 52.1 to bring it up to a 52.3. I picked up a pair fairly cheaply but someone replaced the drivers with not specified ones and i believe that they removed the collar or insert that the drivers screw into to attach the speaker to the enclosure. The sa...

Thanks Martin, sorry i wasn't clear enough. The speaker was packed upside down in the case so i had to grab the base of the enclosure, the plastic molded base with the port in it, the glue gave out and the base came away from the bottom. Normally this is all sealed and glued and as per Carlsson Plan...
