OA-116 - replace wheels with something firmer?
Is there a good reason why the wheels on the OA-116 would be better than something sturdier that would give the cabinets less chance of rocking or vibrating? 4 non-adjustable points of contact are virtually guaranteed to rock on one diagonal or the other. My speakers are on carpet, so that probably ...

Re: OA-116 with active crossovers?
Well, I modified one speaker to 3 way active and left one with the standard passive crossover. While I think I could detect some clarification of instruments and vocals, it wasn't enough to be definitively better, so I decided to go back to passive.

Re: OA 116 Crossover - inductors
Hmmm, seems that even if I do want to change to the later design, I will struggle to get a 4.2mH inductor; Stig didn't compromise his designs by choosing off-the-shelf components, did he? Does anyone know of a reasonably priced option? The only one I've found so far is a foil-coil from the UK at UKP...

Re: OA 116 Crossover - inductors
Hi Russ, Thanks for that. I pulled off one of my bass boards and found that I do in fact have the old style mid-range crossovers, and referring to your images, the MT24 tweeters. The question now is: is it worth doing the upgrade to the midrange crossovers? Have people noticed a worthwhile improveme...

Re: OA 116 Crossover - inductors
Hi Russ, I see the image of the crossover diagram you posted says "original". Is there an updated crossover diagram? Mine seems to be a bit different from this. I also see mention of an upgrade to the crossovers that Stig suggested, but I can't find any specific reference to what needs to ...

OA-116 with active crossovers?
Has anyone tried running active crossovers with OA-116s? A quick google didn't turn up anything. I'm keen to have a try. One of the challenges would seem to be the existing tweeter configuration which is all parallel, giving an impedance of 2 ohms.
