The Carlsson OA-51.2 was the upgraded version of OA-51. This model was not sold a speaker pair, only as an upgrade kit to owners of OA-51.
The upgrade consisted of new improved woofers, tweeters and crossovers.
The woofer was the Scan-Speak 18W/8545 replacing the older 18W/8542. The 8545 has lower distortion and age resistant surrounds etc. The tweeter is a Vifa aluminium dome tweeter. The crossover is a 6/12 dB with high quality components
After upgrading the speakers you still have a speaker with almost the same looks but with better performance. The elements are more modern and up to date giving you a speaker according to the same principles but with the benefit of the more recent speaker developments.
Restoration
OA-51.2 is still so new so it’s not likely to be in need of a restoration yet.
When that time comes it is however easy to restore according to “restoration and upgrading”.
Re-veneering
This is deemed to be difficult to do effectively with a good result so there is no fixed price for this. Re-veneering is however not impossible, all questions regarding this should be addressed to:

UPGRADING
Standard upgrade to OA.51.3 from 51.2
This contains new tweeters and crossovers.
New grill
The original foam front is most likely ruined by now. Therefore a new protective wire grill has been developed for the speaker instead.
New damping material for the absorbent panels.
The panels have also by now most likely deteriorated. New damping material is available.
